Can I use a sanding sponge for sealer sanding?
The most popular sponge for sealer sanding is ½” thick. This sponge material is coated on two sides with a high quality silicon carbide or aluminum oxide sanding grain. The life is much longer than that of standard sandpaper. The extreme flexibility makes it great for getting into hard-to-sand contours. They also work very well on turnings. The combination of life and flexibility make it a great choice. The Uneeda Sponge can be used in a wet or dry application; it can also be washed and reused.
