| Storage and Handling of Coated Abrasives |
 |
- Coated abrasives should be stored in dry conditions and kept away from heat sources, cold damp walls and not be in direct contact with the floor
- Temperature should be between 64 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit (18 – 22 degrees Celsius)
- Abrasives should not be exposed to direct sunlight
- Products should be kept in their original packaging until shortly before use
- Take additional care when handling paper products to avoid unnecessary damage

| General Safety Precautions when Using Coated Abrasive Products |

- Eye and Ear protection should be worn at all times
- Follow instructions given by machine manufacturer
- All guards, hoods and covers should be in place at all times
- Dust extraction should be used whenever possible
- Make sure abrasive product is suited for application

| Safety precautions for Abrasive Belt Usage |
 |
- Check belts visually for any defect before putting them on any machine
- Hang belts for a minimum of 24 hours before using
- Run belts with lap joints in direction indicated by arrow on back of belt
- Do not attempt to remove belt from machine when belt is running

| Safety Precautions for Random Orbital Disc Usage |

- Do not exceed maximum operating speed indicated by backup pad
- Do not use damaged backup pads
- When using PSA or hook & loop discs, make sure face of pad and disc are clean
- Make sure disc is well secured to backup pad before use
