When you’re ready to finish your flat surfaces, the EKASILK PLUS 5mm sponge is your ideal partner. The closed cell foam structure allows for a better finish and lasts up to 30 times longer than conventional abrasives. It is very fast on any flat surface and provides enough cushioning to sand over edges and corners without breaking them.
The 5mm is available for all standard sizes sanders (3”x4”, 5”, 6”, or 3-2/3” x 7”). The 5mm Ekasilk Plus abrasive sponges come in Coarse, Medium, Fine, Very Fine and Super Fine grades.
This video showcases the 5” sponge in action on a flat panel with primer. The 5mm Ekasilk Plus sponges can also be used for finishing with stain. If you’ve got a large area to cover, such as a refrigerator door, we recommend using the 6” disc as it will give you 2.5x the coverage area of the 3”x4” sander. If you have a large area and corners, you may want to choose the 3-2/3” x 7” for faster results as well.
